What CheckHarbour provides
The free Company Snapshot shows a concise selection of information and headline checks from the official Companies House record. The paid Full Company Check is a one-off digital report that brings together deeper public-record information, plain-English interpretation and practical points to consider before you commit money, time or enter an agreement.
The Full Company Check currently costs £2.99 GBP as a one-off payment. The price shown immediately before checkout is the price you will be charged.
What the report is not
CheckHarbour is an information and interpretation service. A report is not:
- a credit rating or credit-reference report;
- financial, legal, investment or professional advice;
- a recommendation to enter into or avoid a transaction;
- a guarantee that a company is safe, trustworthy, solvent or able to perform a contract;
- certification that information filed with Companies House is accurate.
Labels such as “generally seen as positive”, “worth reviewing” and “could be concerning” apply to individual findings only and are intended to help explain why a record may deserve attention.
Official data and availability
Company Check relies on live or recently retrieved official public-record data, principally from Companies House. Public records can contain errors, omissions, delayed filings and information supplied by third parties. Optional source endpoints can also be temporarily unavailable.
CheckHarbour is designed to identify incomplete retrieval rather than treating missing data as a reassuring result. Even so, you should verify important decisions against the original source documents and any other checks appropriate to the transaction.
Choosing the company
You are responsible for entering the correct Companies House company number. Before payment, CheckHarbour rechecks the company number against Companies House and uses the official company identity returned by that source.
If you intentionally or accidentally choose the wrong valid company number and the requested report has already been supplied for that company, that alone does not automatically create a right to a refund. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Payment and supply
Payments are processed through Stripe. CheckHarbour does not intentionally receive or store your full card number. A report is generated only after CheckHarbour verifies the associated Stripe Checkout Session and payment state.
The Full Company Check is intended to be supplied immediately after successful payment. The report is delivered through a private access link and can be printed or saved as a PDF. Private report access links are designed to expire after 30 days.
Immediate digital supply and cancellation
Because the Full Company Check is digital content supplied immediately after payment, checkout asks you to:
- accept these Terms;
- expressly request that the digital report is supplied immediately; and
- acknowledge that, once supply of the digital content begins, you lose the 14-day cancellation right to the extent permitted by consumer law.
This does not remove statutory rights where digital content is faulty, not as described, not supplied, or where the law gives you another remedy.
If something goes wrong
If payment succeeds but CheckHarbour cannot generate the report, we will use reasonable efforts to make the paid report available without charging you again. If we cannot supply the purchased report, contact us and we will consider the appropriate remedy, which may include a refund.
If a report link does not open, a payment is duplicated, or the report appears materially incomplete because of a service failure, contact [email protected] with enough information for us to identify the order.
Reasonable use
You may use a purchased report for your own lawful personal or business decision-making and may save or share the PDF with people involved in that decision. You must not misuse CheckHarbour to harass individuals, circumvent access controls, interfere with the service, scrape private report links, or present CheckHarbour interpretation as an official Companies House conclusion.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability that cannot be excluded under consumer law.
Subject to that, CheckHarbour is not responsible for losses caused solely by inaccurate or incomplete third-party public filings, decisions made without carrying out appropriate independent checks, or events that could not reasonably have been identified from the records available when the report was generated.
Privacy
Our Privacy notice explains how personal information is used in connection with searches, checkout, report access, analytics and feedback.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms for future purchases. The version accepted at checkout is recorded against the order. Changes do not retrospectively replace the version accepted for an earlier purchase.
Governing law and complaints
These Terms are governed by the law applicable to the CheckHarbour operator and the customer, including mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from relying on rights or courts that cannot lawfully be excluded.
For a complaint, contact [email protected] and we will try to resolve it promptly.
